FROM BART/MUNI DOWNTOWN:
Take the T from Embarcadero Station toward Sunnydale
Arrive 3rd St and Evans; walk across the street and transfer to the 19 bus
Arrive Evans and Middle Point, the stop before the bus turns up the hill
Walk northeast on Jennings to the entrance of Heron's Head Park

Construction from Mission Bay surrounds the southern and western edges of the park. Several connecting streets have yet to be built, but you can get into the park on foot or by bike from 7th St as well as 4th St. A planned park on the southern side of the channel between 3rd and 4th street will improve connections to the Blue Greenway Trail alignment. Use common sense and caution as you would exploring any unfamiliar urban place. The closest shops and restaurants are located a few blocks from the park near 4th St and King St.

Heron's Head Park is located in an industrial area. The PG&E site next to the park is being remediated and there is often traffic from heavy trucks doing this work. Use common sense and caution as you would exploring any unfamiliar urban place. The closest commercial area is located to the west on 3rd St. There are separated bike lanes along Cargo Way that run from the park up to 3rd St.
